Feasts & friends al fresco Come and join our table…

Jacob's Creek Our Table

Word on the street is that it’s Summertime here in London. I’ve not been that convinced, but last weekend the sun came out, my tomatoes started coming out to say hello and I toasted each al fresco meal with LM, friends and a glass (or two) of some of my favourite Jacob’s Creek wines.

(And if you would like to win three bottles of Jacob’s Creek wine yourself, just see the bottom of this post!)

Jacob’s Creek is on a mission to get us all gathering together, enjoying one another’s company and making delicious memories by hosting an ‘Our Table’ event.

A few days ago I shared some recipes and memories at a very special ‘Our Table’ event at Wimbledon and I so enjoyed sharing these with you all.

Last weekend, it was time to make some more memories… and they began with a roast chicken.

Perfect Salt and Pepper Roast Chicken on The Balcony is the name of this particular dish. It is enormously hard work to make (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA) and requires finely honed culinary skills (BA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA) and I have got it down to a tee.

It’s SUCH an easy Friday night supper and requires minimal prep. I always stick lemon, honey, butter, garlic and herbs in the cavity of the chicken, so as it cooks with the potatoes, the juices ooze out and you’re left with the most perfect sticky/crispy/yummy tatties. Ever.

Perfect with a glass of Jacob’s Creek classic Pinot Noir

The Most Amazing Barbecue Ever And Yes Her Boyfriend Is Australian was how we celebrated Summer last Sunday. We drove over to our friend’s house in Betsy, clutching a couple of bottles of Jacob’s Creek, which we knew would be perfect for this barbecue to end all barbecues. There were no limp sausages here. No soggy buns. No siree mate.

All the dishes we had were absolutely amazing and the wine was the perfect accompaniment.

This post was written in collaboration with Jacob’s Creek, but as always thoughts and opinions are my own.

This post was shot on my LEICA D-LUX – dinky but dynamic 😉
